What Leads to Centrifugal Pumps Mechanical Seal Damage?
①Excessive sealing surface gap during installation: flushing fluid fails to timely dissipate friction pair heat, leaks through the gap, and causes end face overheating/damage.
②Liquid medium vaporization expansion: its force separates end faces; re-tight attachment destroys the lubricating film, leading to end face overheating.
③Poor medium lubricity + overload pressure: unsynchronized sealing surface rotation. E.g., high-speed pump (20,445 r/min, 7 cm sealing center diameter) reaches 75 m/s linear speed; lagging surface causes instantaneous high-temperature damage.
④Clogged sealing flushing orifice/filter: insufficient water volume results in mechanical seal failure.
